King Of Pentacles

We are at the midway. This week marks the completion of the first half of an epic year. A year that we will all look back on as the year that it all changed. Years from now you’ll say to yourself, ‘well, I know that that happened in 2018 so I guess its been, wow, x amount of years.’  You know how that goes. The things that are happening right now, the decisions you are making, endings and beginnings, they are your pivot point. 

The odd thing about pivot points is that they get to be beginnings and endings and midpoints all at once. The story is not even near over, yet we may be grieving. The new endeavors are still too young to know anything about them, really. Though there is so much beauty to come. 

I liken this stage to the moment the butterfly comes out of its chrysalis. After living an incredibly busy and consuming life, and vomiting all over itself to dissolve and transform, it finally breaks free and with wet wings, and full faith, it stretches and prepares for flight, where it will cross pollinate everything it touches, create beauty without trying, and migrate over vast expanses because it is drawn to do so. Such a different life from its grounded caterpillar beginning.

But we are not butterflies. We are humans. We remember our past, anticipate our future, question our present, and rationalize the meat out of everything. Having wet wings after just emerging from a tight bind, and losing our frame of reference that we have had as a touchstone for most of our lives, can feel a bit intense. 

What does it mean for US to FLY? We will find out soon, and I promise it will happen naturally, and you will cross pollinate everywhere you go, and create beauty without even trying, while migrating over vast expanses. 

But FOR NOW, During this King of Pentacles week, this last week of VIRGO, know that your heart has spoken, the transformation is complete, and your wet wings will dry in their own time. Stretch and move in preparation. TRUST. 

YOU ARE READY for the the next half of this cycle. The QUEEN of your heart has spoken and the KING of your actions has pivoted. The rest will unfold as it does. 

For now, let the mix of reflection on what has passed and the anticipation of what is to come, wash sweetly over your new being. “All things must pass,” said my favorite Beatle, George.  But its not over yet. We are only at the starting point of a whole different journey.
