Moon in Scorpio

Today the Moon and Venus move to Scorpio. SCORPIO is FIXED WATER and the emotional depths we go with another once we have established a sense of trust in LIBRA.

Scorpio is a phase in our development where we test the integrity of our relationships. If CANCER is the first emotional testing ground of our personal drives, decisions or desires, Scorpio is the next place that brings up boundaries, fears, control, faith, power, inevitability, and intensity.

While the moon moves through this space over the next couple of days, find out what area of your life is your testing ground for the interpersonal. Even if you have Scorpio shining over a house between 1-6, what does this mean for the development of your individuated self? What early experiences caused you to test your trust in intimacy with yourself and others?

The moon will continue through Scorpio today bringing us even more depth and reflection on our intimacy with ourself and others.

A metaphor I sometimes use for Scorpio is, imagine you are going to go deep sea cave diving and you need to do so with a reliable diving partner.

In libra, you are deciding who that partner will be. Are they trained? How did they respond in the past when things went wrong? Do they blame their previous diving partners, or take responsibility for their own experiences so they have become better divers? Do they even want to go diving? Do you try a few test dives before committing to the “big ones?”

We are all at different spaces when it comes to cave diving. Some are more well equipped or seasoned than others. Some simply don’t like to get their hair wet. It’s our job to pick who we trust and why we trust them.

Then in Scorpio we go. Deep deep deep. And shit happens. And we freak out. And it feels like life or death. And we feel the make or break of the expedition.

Do we cultivate deeper intimacy and trust in Scorpio, or do we learn that we are not ready, or not willing, or not properly partnered, or just downright scared? That’s Scorpio stuff. It’s all the things that happen, the surrender, the control, the taboo, the uncovering of secrets, the refusal to continue, the reward of going deeper.

They say the temple of Scorpio is where the individuated self dies to the union with the other. This gives way to the discovery of the treasure.

In Sagittarius, our third arrow of manifestation hits the target of the treasure. This treasure is inevitable, regardless of how the dive went. In all cases, we learn something and feel transformed by our Scorpionic trip.
